We are seeking a meticulous and proactive MDS Compliance Specialist to join our team at Brookwood Skilled Nursing & Therapy. This role is pivotal in managing, coordinating, and overseeing the completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS), which includes the Resident Assessment Protocols (RAPs) and individualized Care Plans for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze data for MDS, ensuring timely submission of quarterly assessments as per RAI manual and HCFA guidelines.
  • Review completed RAPs and all relevant data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain precise tracking of MDS and Care Plans to guarantee timely completion.
  • Ensure each MDS is documented accurately, reflecting the resident's current medical status based on thorough physical assessments and medical records.
  • Facilitate decisions regarding care plans and document accordingly on the MDS, adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Electronically record and transmit MDS data in compliance with state database requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Current and unencumbered Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License.
  • Up-to-date First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Basic proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with MDS and RAPs, with the capability to create comprehensive, individualized care plans tailored to residents' current needs.
