Our curriculum incorporates innovative teaching methodologies, including the Responsive Classroom model, Expeditionary Learning, Close Reading, and various literacy programs.

Role Overview:

We invite passionate educators and advocates for social change to join our vibrant community. We are in search of a dedicated Fifth Grade Science Educator who demonstrates a strong work ethic and a commitment to enhancing student learning outcomes. Candidates are not required to speak Hebrew, and we actively encourage applications from individuals representing diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a classroom environment where students develop a passion for Science.
  • Deliver high-quality Science instruction that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Design engaging lesson plans and activities that promote meaningful learning experiences.
  • Maintain an organized and professional classroom conducive to learning.
  • Utilize instructional strategies aligned with Common Core standards to support diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Encourage critical thinking and student ownership of their learning journey.
  • Analyze student performance data to drive academic improvements.
  • Prepare students for state assessments and support overall school success.
  • Build strong relationships with families to enhance school culture and academic engagement.
  • Implement effective data management practices.
  • Meet professional responsibilities through efficient collaboration and time management.
  • Champion the importance of diversity within the educational environment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in elementary or middle school education is advantageous.
  • Possession of or progress towards NYS certification in the relevant content area is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience. The base salary starts at $62,000 or higher, depending on qualifications. Potential benefits include:
