Certified Anesthesia Specialist

At Yale New Haven Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in anesthesia care and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist will be responsible for providing safe and effective anesthesia care to patients undergoing medical and surgical procedures. This will involve working closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also have a strong commitment to patient-centered care and a willingness to continuously learn and improve their skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement accurate and safe anesthetic care for patients
- Monitor vital signs, capnography, and pulse oximetry during anesthesia
- Ensure appropriate documentation and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
Requirements:
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) licensure in the State of Connecticut
- Current APRN licensure in the State of Connecticut
- Completion of a Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer clinical working experience as a CRNA within the given specialty/service line
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and wear lead as needed for fluoroscopy, X-Ray cases
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and reach above and below shoulder height
- Ability to negotiate patient care environments and move self/patients between anesthesia locations
