Certified Anesthesia Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other physicians to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Implement accurate and safe patient-centric anesthetic care.
- Understand physiologic implications and anesthetic considerations of surgical procedures.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and protect patient information.
- Demonstrate a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, and commitment to patient care.
- Engage in projects to maintain and advance professional competency.
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) completion of a nurse anesthesia educational program.
- Current State of Connecticut Nursing License and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure.
- Prefer clinical working experience as a CRNA within the given specialty/service line.
- AANA Certification, State of CT RN and APRN License, ACLS DEA Registration, and State of CT Controlled Substance Registration.
The CRNA must be able to demonstrate intellectual-conceptual, integrative, and quantitative abilities; skills in observation, communication, and motor functions; and mature behavioral and social attributes.
Sensory: detect and interpret changes in monitoring alarms and equipment. Functional vision, hearing, no impairment of sense of smell and tactile sensation must be adequate.
Communication: speak, hear, and observe. CRNA must be able to communicate effectively, including speech, reading, and writing.
Motor: sufficient motor function to elicit pertinent information. CRNAs should be able to stand for long periods of time and wear lead as needed for fluoroscopy, X-Ray cases.
Coordination of both gross and fine muscular movements, equilibrium, and functional use of the senses of touch and vision is required.
