Anesthesiology Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiologist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As an Anesthesiologist, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Implement accurate and safe patient-centric anesthetic care
• Complete thorough anesthesia apparatus safety checks and monitor patient physiological conditions
• Perform pre-anesthetic assessments, obtain patient consent, and discuss anesthetic options and risks
• Induce, maintain, and emerge patients from anesthesia, and monitor their physiological conditions
• Document patient information accurately and protect patient health information
• Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care
• Engage in continuous professional development and improve professional competency

Qualifications

• Possess and maintain a valid American Board certification in Anesthesiology
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted state medical license
• Hold BLS certification, a valid DEA registration, and a Controlled Substance Certificate
• Be proficient in charting in electronic medical records, such as EPIC
