Role Overview: Bullhorn is seeking a dedicated and analytical Systems Administrator II. In this capacity, you will oversee the management and operation of our production environment, engaging in various ongoing projects. The role demands a solid technical background, particularly in operating systems and networking, paired with a proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage solutions for Bullhorn's production environments.
  • Identify and execute automation opportunities for future projects.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of new product deployments and enhancements, ensuring readiness for service.
  • Document technical environments, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain global network and systems configurations across multiple data centers.
  • Develop system analysis and reporting tools, along with automation tools.
  • Monitor and ensure the functionality of all production system equipment and services.
  • Guarantee 24/7 availability of Bullhorn's production application environments, including weekend on-call duties on a rotating basis.
  • Provide direct support to Software Development, Quality Engineering, Customer Support, Professional Services, and third-party vendors to resolve production issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • 3-6 years of experience in systems administration, along with hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in Linux (Redhat/CentOS, Debian).
  • Experience with Windows server administration.
  • Familiarity with automation practices.
  • Knowledge of Java-based applications running in Wildfly/Tomcat.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Powershell, and Bash.
  • Previous experience in a SaaS or high-traffic website environment is preferred.
  • Experience in automation and managing extensive server environments.
  • Prior on-call experience is advantageous.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with LDAP/Kerberos authentication against Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with SAN and NAS technologies (iSCSI, FCP, CIFS, NFS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Prometheus.
  • Coding experience is a plus.
  • Involvement in Open Source Projects.
  • Experience with Puppet/CFEngine.
