The Director of Patient Services will oversee the daily operations of patient service initiatives in collaboration with designated third-party vendors. This role requires a highly organized and proactive individual capable of fostering cross-functional collaboration and ensuring compliance with patient privacy standards. Responsibilities include managing patient service offerings, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and reporting metrics essential for program management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Free Goods programs, Case Management support, and additional assigned initiatives.
- Enhance and implement the patient services strategy, focusing on reimbursement and financial assistance while managing program operations and budgets effectively.
- Develop and uphold standard operating procedures, business rules, and operational management for patient service programs.
- Understand the patient journey to improve engagement and adherence to therapies.
- Establish strong relationships internally and externally to enhance the overall patient experience.
Collaborate with various departments to:
- Align with corporate goals and objectives for patient services, ensuring integration with the distribution network.
- Promote awareness of patient services programs among key stakeholders.
- Assist in creating marketing materials to support patient services initiatives.
- Facilitate the approval process for marketing materials.
- Engage with ECS/FRM teams to resolve customer issues promptly.
- Manage the operational budget responsibly and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure data integrity and effective communication between the company and relevant vendors supporting patient services.
- Provide accurate reporting to senior management and other key teams.
- Monitor key business metrics and contribute to quarterly reviews.
- Participate in data analysis and reporting.
- Work closely with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure alignment with company values and applicable regulations.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
- Experience in agency/vendor management, including operations, business reviews, and budget oversight.
- Strong knowledge of the US access landscape, including reimbursement support services and patient support programs.
- Proven ability to develop and execute program plans.
- Experience working effectively in cross-functional teams with a history of leadership and initiative.
- Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and establish clear objectives.
- Proven capability to influence without authority and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of the biologic/specialty pharmaceutical market and patient access challenges.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to summarize complex information for senior management.
- Patient-focused and service-oriented mindset.
- Adaptable to change and proactive in nature.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
