Mechanical Engineering Project Specialist

Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a full-time Mechanical Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the successful execution of mechanical projects, utilizing advanced technologies and methodologies.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $66,560 to $90,000.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct project estimating, including take-off and analysis.
- Develop and manage project schedules, including manpower allocation.
- Oversee the management of Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Prepare comprehensive submittal packages.
- Coordinate the flow of contractor-provided submittal data.
- Assist in populating data for various forms.
- Prepare project progress billings.
- Support technical analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for HVAC air equipment, piping systems, and plumbing equipment.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Fundamental knowledge of HVAC and plumbing design and system operations.
- Understanding of commercial and industrial construction processes.
- Basic proficiency in construction estimating.
- Familiarity with testing procedures for HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of ASHRAE data and guidelines.
- Competence in MS Project for scheduling.
- Experience with MS Access or similar database programs.
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
- Strong internet research skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Organizational skills for managing and archiving technical data.
Education:
A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant engineering disciplines (Civil, Industrial, or Structural) is recommended, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction project engineering role.
