About the Role

Zebra Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our cutting-edge products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex electrical systems, including printed circuit boards, system designs, and prototypes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and test hardware systems.
  • Evaluate new technologies and develop new features for current and future products.
  • Develop and apply technical and quality improvements.
  • Lead and review PCB layouts, and design digital and analog electrical circuits and systems.
  • Work with microcontrollers, microprocessors (ARM), SOCs, and processor peripheral interfaces (PCIe, USB, I2C, SPI, storage, high-speed serial).
  • Assist in design of production test fixtures and writing automation software.
  • Network with key contacts outside own area of expertise, and interact with management and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.
Requirements
  • BS in Electrical, Robotics, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 5+ years of experience, or Master's Degree in Robotics or Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 4+ years of experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Signal Integrity and Power Integrity, and best practices for PCB layout and construction.
  • Experience throughout the development life cycle, including writing specifications, selecting parts, prototyping, engaging with vendors, design validation, and scale production.
  • Experience in hardware prototype bring-up, debug, fault detection, and failure analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Linux command line, and experience designing with embedded systems, from flashing to debugging.
