Job Title: Electronic Steering System Integration Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated EPAS (Electronic Power Assisted Steering) Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the integration, calibration, and validation of EPAS systems in various vehicle platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

* System Integration: Integrate EPAS hardware and software components into vehicle platforms.
* Software and Controls Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of control algorithms for EPAS systems.
* Design: Work with the design and development engineers throughout the engineering organization to ensure steering functions and components have appropriate requirements and interface definition to achieve their specific vehicle functions.
* Functional Safety: Participate in functional safety and failure avoidance analysis of complex electrical and software vehicle subsystems.
* Calibration and Tuning: Develop and refine calibration parameters for optimal EPAS performance across different driving conditions and vehicle types.
* Verification: Create and own steering HIL test setups to bench test firmware seeking bugs and regressions.
* Testing and Validation: Design and execute comprehensive test plans for EPAS systems, including lab-based and on-road testing.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with vehicle dynamics, safety, and ADAS teams to ensure EPAS integration aligns with overall vehicle performance goals.

Requirements:

* B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Embedded Systems
* 3 years of experience in automotive engineering with a focus on EPAS systems
* Proven experience in integrating and calibrating EPAS or similar automotive control systems
* 5 years of experience with Vehicle Network Protocols such as CAN, LIN & Automotive Ethernet
* Proficiency in using calibration tools and software (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, CANalyzer)

Preferred Qualifications:

* M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Embedded Systems
* Proven technical expertise in Chassis Systems Design and controls strategies
* Understanding of the intricacies of the subsystem
* Proficiency in fundamentals of vehicle architecture, embedded systems design, RTOSes and real-time networking
