Compensation: $23.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and implement the Company Safety Program to safeguard employees and vehicles, ensuring a secure working environment;
- Maintain the Safety Program Manual, which encompasses daily facility inspections, hazard assessments, safety evaluations, OSHA 300, and MSDS reporting, while advising management on corrective actions;
- Conduct recurrent training sessions for drivers and Supervisors on all safety-sensitive operations, including quarterly and annual training;
- Facilitate compliance with OSHA and ADA regulations;
- Lead safety meetings and address all related issues with management;
- Collaborate with Corporate Risk Services to develop new training materials and ensure compliance reporting;
- Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents;
- Perform monthly evaluations of drivers and recommend additional training as necessary;
- Regularly conduct field checks to verify adherence to policies and procedures by drivers;
- Support the Trainer as required; and
- Execute additional job responsibilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential;
- License Requirement: A valid state-issued driver's license with an up-to-date address and a satisfactory driving record is mandatory;
- DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is necessary;
- Familiarity with DOT regulations is required;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
- Previous experience as a Safety Coordinator with training duties is preferred;
- Ability to work flexible shifts;
- Some college education is preferred.
