Job Summary

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate records of materials on-hand and on-order. They monitor reorder points and initiate action to replenish stock, reconcile discrepancies in inventories, and notify supervisors of irregularities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain current inventory levels.
  • Enter purchase requisition requests to replenish inventory.
  • Perform requisition updates after deliveries are completed.
  • Track orders and investigate problems.
  • Perform physical count of inventory and reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
  • Receive, unpack, and verify the accuracy of all requisitions.
  • Process and/or approve invoices for payment.
  • Process and document returns as required following established procedures.
  • Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting internal customers.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED Certification.
  • Two (2) years' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • One (1) year' experience in computer operation.
  • Must be 18 years old.
Working Conditions

The Inventory Clerk will work indoors and outdoors, subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions. Work hours may be subject to change with overtime work required.
