Position Overview:

We are seeking a Tax Supervisor to become an integral part of our finance team. In this role, you will oversee tax compliance and planning initiatives. This is a full-time role requiring a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and evaluate tax returns and workpapers prepared by team members
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Formulate and execute tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities
  • Stay informed on updates in tax legislation and relay their implications to management and staff
  • Prepare and review tax provisions and related disclosures for financial documentation
  • Foster and maintain relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies
  • Assist with tax-related audits and inquiries
  • Mentor and guide tax staff members

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline
  • CPA certification preferred or in progress
  • Over 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning
  • Familiarity with CCH tax software is a plus
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capacity to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in managing and mentoring team members
