About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Wastewater Operator in Training to join our team at American Water. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our wastewater treatment plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant, including monitoring and controlling treatment processes.
  • Perform laboratory analyses and process control tests to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve operational goals and objectives.
  • Participate in safety training and adhere to safe work practices at all times.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in the wastewater utility industry.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Valid Hawaii driver's license with excellent driving record.
  • CDL license preferred.
