About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Culinary Leader to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Prep and Line Cooks, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety, and contributing to the success of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Sous Chef in running the kitchen and leading employees, overseeing operations in their absence.
  • Follow recipes and proper cooking techniques to ensure consistent high standards and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Share knowledge and passion for food with customers and employees, suggesting ways to prepare meal items and incorporate products from other departments.
  • Manage employee performance by providing resources, training, feedback, and development opportunities.
Requirements
  • 2 or more years' experience as a Prep or Line Cook.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Food safety and quality assurance knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts.
  • Experience working in a multi-faceted food service facility.
