About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced culinary professional to join our team as a Lead Cook at Wegmans Food Markets. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Prep and Line Cooks, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Sous Chef in managing kitchen operations and leading employees
  • Follow recipes and cooking techniques to deliver exceptional menu items
  • Share knowledge and passion for food with customers and employees
  • Manage employee performance and provide development opportunities
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as a Prep or Line Cook
  • Experience leading a team
  • Food safety and quality assurance knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts
  • Experience working in a multi-faceted food service facility
