Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Ensemble Health Partners. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our revenue cycle management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Admitting Duties: Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital, ensuring accurate and timely completion of medical necessity / compliance checks, and providing proper patient instructions.
  • Insurance Verification: Collect and verify insurance information, receive and process physician orders, and utilize an overlay tool to ensure accurate and efficient patient registration.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Quality Auditing: Conduct quality audits of patient accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
  • Pre-Registration: Pre-register patients prior to their visits, collecting demographic, insurance, and financial information, and explaining general consent for treatment forms to patients and their families.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required
  • 1-2 Years of Experience in Patient Access or a Related Field: Preferred
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Required
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Required
