Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Analyst (2nd / 3rd year) to join our Technology team in San Francisco. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with senior members of the Technology Group, gaining exposure to both sell-side and buy-side advisory, as well as underwriting and placing equity and debt offerings for both public and private entities. Technology Analysts engage in a variety of strategic transactions for leading and emerging companies across multiple sectors, including Software, Internet, and Hardware. You will manage several projects concurrently with teams of professionals, both within the group and across the firm.
This role necessitates in-person office attendance from Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and prepare client presentations, drafting offering memoranda, internal committee memoranda, management and board presentations, and other required materials
- Execute transactions involving direct client interaction and communication
- Oversee client due diligence processes
- Conduct extensive financial modeling and perform valuation analyses
- Evaluate industry research and trends
- 1-2 years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on Technology
- Strong interest in the Technology sector
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and consistency in work output
- Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, lean deal team environment
- Organized and proactive; motivated to foster a positive, collaborative team culture
- Strong interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with Dealogic, CapIQ, Bloomberg, and MS Office suite is highly preferred
- Series 63, 79 licenses and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam required at the time of hiring or shortly thereafter
For job postings in California, Oppenheimer is legally required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. This salary range is specific to California and considers a variety of factors that influence salary decisions, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $90,000 to $110,000. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses.
