Enterprise Data Architect

FTI is seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to join our team. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing our enterprise systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain an Enterprise Architecture framework that aligns with business strategy and objectives.
  • Design and implement technology solutions for analytics, data engineering, and data platforms.
  • Support data management, data modeling, data warehousing, and master data management initiatives.
  • Create strategic plans for improving data integration, data quality, and data delivery.
  • Guide team members in the design of data structures, including databases, warehouses, and lakes.
  • Simplify existing data architecture while delivering reusable services and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Improve information flows, including ease of access and use of information assets.
  • Support artificial intelligence initiatives, including the use of large language models and machine learning.
  • Contribute to data governance, data standards, and data literacy initiatives.
  • Advance business glossary, data catalog, and data lineage within FTI.
  • Provide guidance on security, privacy, data management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct proofs of concept and pilots to assess feasibility and define benefits.
  • Establish cloud architectures within Azure and GCP as part of a cloud governance committee.
  • Develop and establish technical and business process metrics to measure results.
  • Create and present position papers on relevant technology.
  • Mentor team members through the use of Enterprise Architecture frameworks and information architectures.
  • Stay well-educated on architecture and application trends within the industry.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of overall experience, with 2+ years as an Enterprise Data Architect or similar role.
  • Experience in platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Databricks, and Dataiku.
  • Master's degree desired but not required.
  • Less than 20% travel per year.
  • Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.
