Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Senior Associate Attorney to join our vibrant Insurance Defense team. This role presents a unique chance for a qualified professional with a robust background in both 1st and 3rd party insurance to make a significant impact within our firm. You will collaborate closely with partners and clients, managing cases from initiation to resolution. This is a full-time, onsite role that requires a high level of dedication, expertise, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver legal representation across a diverse range of insurance defense cases.
2. Oversee a substantial caseload from start to finish, including drafting legal documents, motions, discovery requests, and briefs.
3. Conduct and defend depositions, negotiate settlements, and represent clients in court proceedings.
4. Formulate and execute defense strategies, maintain communication with clients and opposing counsel, and prepare case status reports.
5. Stay informed on current laws and legal processes relevant to insurance defense, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
6. Collaborate with team members to achieve optimal outcomes for clients while mentoring junior attorneys.
7. Engage in business development initiatives to attract and retain clients.

Qualifications

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law institution.
2. Admission to the Florida state bar and maintaining good standing.
3. At least 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, focusing on both 1st and 3rd party insurance matters.
4. Proven ability to manage a significant caseload effectively from initiation to conclusion.
5. Strong negotiation, communication, and courtroom advocacy skills.
6. Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
7. Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
8. High level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
9. Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
10. Experience in business development with a successful track record of client retention is advantageous.
