Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to support an experienced Attorney in litigation duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, with experience working in Florida E-filing portal and a working knowledge of County, Circuit, and Federal filing rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with an experienced attorney to draft and review multiple legal documents daily: motions, pleadings, notices of deposition, discovery shells, subpoenas, settlement statements
  • Filing in the Florida Courts e-Filing portal daily
  • Provide daily follow ups with Opposing Counsel and third-party providers to set hearings, depositions, coordinate mediations, and prepare clients for meetings with the attorney
  • Complete discovery with client and attorney: interrogatories, requests to produce, etc.
  • Communicate specific and accurate information to the attorney, clients, and others
  • Organize cases and calendar
  • Investigate facts to help in the resolution of legal disputes
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Record and store client information
  • Legal Research
  • Process checks
  • Other tasks as requested by the firm

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated to anticipate and proactively assist in case needs
  • Familiarity with legal research required
  • Prior work experience as a litigation assistant/paralegal in civil, Plaintiff's firm
  • Experience working in Florida E-filing portal is required
  • Working knowledge of County, Circuit, and Federal filing rules and regulations
  • Must pass a background check
