Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Manager or Senior Manager in managing daily accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll for clients.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting tasks for assigned clients.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and anomalies during client engagements.
  • Oversee engagement quality control standards.
  • Ensure timely communication and meet client deadlines.
  • Support team development by preparing staff for advancement.

Essential Functions:

  • Implement or upgrade accounting software for clients and internal staff.
  • Customize accounting setups based on individual client requirements.
  • Directly reconcile monthly statements and prepare financial reports.
  • Coordinate accounting processes during client audits.
  • Book journal entries and assist the tax department with return preparations.
  • Maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Prepare and manage 1099s, W2s, and Payroll Tax Reports.
  • Provide technical accounting training to clients as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to enhance satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, typically 3+ years.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, ADP, NetSuite, and Sage Intacct is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and maintain confidentiality.
