Job Title: IT Systems Administrator

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our team at Arete Associates. As an IT Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative operations of our IT department, including integrating, upgrading, and managing domain services and infrastructure systems in a Microsoft Windows Server environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate, upgrade, and manage domain services and infrastructure systems in a Microsoft Windows Server environment.
  • Configure and administer various line of business applications, IT/Cyber Tools, and other software solutions.
  • Recommend improvements to the company's IT services.
  • Contribute to computer and network security using a variety of security-based products.
  • Manage data backup and restoration systems for the local facility.
  • Provide end-user support for local office.
  • Maintain software licensing records and provide support to IT budget planning sessions.
  • Mentor other IT staff and lead technical projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology related discipline and/or current, applicable industry-standard certifications (MCSA, CCNA, Security+, RHCSA).
  • Minimum of 3 years working as a Windows System Administrator, Linux Systems Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Security+CE or equivalent certification for DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II or higher within 90 days of employment.
  • Proficiency with domain services utilizing Windows Server including Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, DFS, and DHCP.
  • Advanced IT troubleshooting skills and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work autonomously and on a team.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.
  • System administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 or later.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Microsoft 365, Azure or AWS Administration, SharePoint, Veeam Backup & Replication, or SCCM Configuration Manager
  • Familiarity with classified information system Cyber Security tools and technologies (Nessus/ACAS, SCAP Compliance Checker, DISA STIGs).
  • Experience collaborating with Cyber Security professionals.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $95,000 to $125,000; however, Arete Associates considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
