Job Description

As a Project Engineer I at Power Technique North America LLC, you will be responsible for leading the development of new products from concept to production. This role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in product development, with a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain 3D master assembly models of products using Atlas Copco drawing methods and standards.
  • Create and maintain detailed 2D component drawings with all required information.
  • Lead project teams on collaboration activities for product development initiatives.
  • Guide and lead part designers to achieve project goals.
  • Follow the Concept to Product (C to P) gated new product development process.
  • Identify critical assembly operations and provide necessary assembly torqueing information.
  • Develop and maintain engineering-related instructions for electrical panels, system test reports, and product release checklists.
  • Initiate and support the development of all product documentation, including instruction books, spare parts books, and dimension drawings.
  • Perform numerical calculations to support design integrity and analyze products for potential misuse.
  • Strive for high reuse of existing components to reduce cost, risk, and improve time to market.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or product design.
  • 3+ years of experience as an engineer in a manufacturing or R&D design center.
  • Experience leading project teams for new product development.
  • Experience in design for manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience in rotating machinery development and medical equipment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with electrical or compressed air systems is preferred.
