Moffitt Cancer Center is a leading cancer hospital in the Southeast, and we are seeking a skilled Anesthesiology Assistant to join our team. As a CRNA or AA, you will provide anesthesia care to cancer patients under the direct supervision of physician anesthesiologists.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree and training consistent with that received through the successful completion of an American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, or Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants approved training program. Active BLS and ACLS certification is also required.

Responsibilities will include performing preoperative anesthetic evaluations, collaborating with anesthesiologists to formulate and implement anesthetic plans, and recognizing and treating cardiac arrhythmias while patients are under anesthetic care. The successful candidate will also serve as a preceptor for anesthesia students and a resource for nursing and other personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preoperative anesthetic evaluations
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists to formulate and implement anesthetic plans
  • Recognize and treat cardiac arrhythmias while patients are under anesthetic care
  • Serve as a preceptor for anesthesia students
  • Provide education and support to nursing and other personnel

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field
