Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Oswego Health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing diagnostic testing, and working closely with our medical team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities- Perform respiratory diagnostic testing and care for patients of all ages
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to develop and modify patient care plans
- Provide complex therapy requiring independent judgment, such as caring for patients on life support in the Intensive Care Unit
- Teach patients how to use medications and equipment
- Perform regular checks on patients and equipment
- Assist in using and updating evidence-based therapies and protocols to treat a wide variety of patients
- Current NYS Licensed Respiratory Therapist required
- CPR certification required
- One year or more previous hospital experience, or in a healthcare setting preferred
- On-site orientation is approximately 4 weeks
- ACLS and PALS certification required within 1 year of hire
