About the Role

Bancroft is a leading provider of services for individuals with autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and those in need of neurological rehabilitation. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including special education, vocational training, supported employment, and residential programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess students' individual abilities and create customized lesson plans to address their unique needs.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that align with students' goals and objectives.
  • Provide training and support to parents and caregivers to ensure a seamless transition between home and school.
  • Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and guardians to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • CE, CEAS, or Standard License in NJ Pre-K to 3, K to 6, or K-8.
  • CE, CEAS, or Standard License in NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) or Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH).
  • Minimum of one year of teaching experience in special education.
  • Effective teaching, facilitation, and communication skills.
