Key Responsibilities
  • Assess students' individual abilities and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) related to Health and Physical Education programs.
  • Design and implement individualized student goals, utilizing curriculum and clinical resources.
  • Develop and adapt creative teaching strategies to address each student's unique needs and abilities.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to each child's educational journey.
  • Provide a flexible and nurturing learning environment that fosters students' personal growth and self-confidence.
  • Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, and caregivers, involving them in their child's educational progress.
  • Continuously evaluate and adjust instructional methods and strategies to optimize student learning and growth.
  • Work within school budget to submit material requests annually to the school principal.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Education.
  • Standard state certification in Health and Physical Education.
  • Strong ability to think outside the box and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • A deep commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse challenges.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative manner with all school staff and parents.
