About Our Role

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at Good Samaritan Society. This is a unique opportunity to work in a not-for-profit organization that has provided over 100 years of housing and services to seniors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing clients/patients/residents and designing occupational therapy treatments to help them develop, maintain and recover their ability to perform tasks in daily life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and provide interventions for clients/patients/residents with functional, cognitive or behavioral impairments.
  • Evaluate physical, cognitive, developmental and psychosocial abilities of clients/patients/residents.
  • Develop realistic therapy goals and administer appropriate occupational therapy programs.
  • Demonstrate documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Exhibit flexibility with acceptance of variable work schedules/assignments.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Occupational Therapist.
  • Certification through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred.
