Job Summary

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at GSS IA Waukon Ctr. As an OT, you will be responsible for assessing clients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities, designing occupational therapy treatments, and helping them develop, maintain, and recover their ability to perform daily tasks. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, developmental, and psychosocial abilities to determine their needs and develop realistic therapy goals.">
  • Design and implement occupational therapy programs to improve clients' functional outcomes, including exercises, activities, and education.">
  • Document client information, establish therapeutic plans, and modify them as necessary to ensure optimal progress.">
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to coordinate care and promote successful outcomes.">
  • Promote a culture of excellence by adhering to departmental guidelines, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.">

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

">
  • ">
  • A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.">
  • Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state(s) where you will practice.">
  • Certification through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), when required.">
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for health care providers.">
