Job Title: Server

We are seeking a skilled Server to join our team at Waynesville Inn & Golf, Tapestry by Hilton. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering prompt and attentive service.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized dining area, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and other servers to ensure seamless service.
  • Engage with guests to understand their preferences and tailor the service accordingly.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages, utilizing suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience.
  • Process orders accurately and efficiently, handling payments and making change as needed.
  • Pre-bus tables, removing soiled dishes and utensils after each course.
  • Operate the hotel computer system to manage orders and guest information.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient restaurant environment.
  • Comply with state food handling and liquor laws.
  • Engage guests in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Perform all setup and side work as required.
  • Adhere to hotel grooming standards.
  • Assist host and food runner as situations arise.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant serving role.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, mornings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Ability to cross-communicate with front and back of the house.

Compensation: $9.00 per hour plus tips.

Education: High school education/GED.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to pass TIPS certification/alcohol awareness training and food handler training.
  • Knowledge or ability to operate a computer.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
