Job Title: Senior Analog Architect

At Renesas, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analog Architect to lead the development of high-accuracy IP for integration in our broad portfolio of products. As a senior technical leader, you will be responsible for guiding and mentoring team members, driving NPI execution, and continuous efficiency and performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and design high-performance AFE (analog frontends) and signal-chain ecosystems, including IP such as PGA (programmable gain amplifiers), precision voltage references, and data converters.
  • Develop high-accuracy IP with voltage accuracy on the order of 1uV.
  • Architect and design SAR A/D converters with resolution of 16-bit or higher.
  • Develop Delta Sigma A/D converters with resolution of 24-bit or higher.
  • Design Nyquist D/A converters with resolution of 18-bit or higher.
  • Architect and design ultra-low-offset chopper-stabilized amplifiers for both high-voltage (> 50V) and low-voltage (and low-power) applications.
  • Guide and mentor CMSD's global Design, Characterization, and Test Engineering team on high-voltage and high-accuracy design and test techniques.
  • Drive product definition and specification to achieve optimal tradeoffs between product competitiveness and development cost.
  • Collaborate with product definition and marketing on product roadmaps and long-term IP development plans.
  • Represent CMSD R&D and contribute to key technical meetings and initiatives at BU A&C and company level.
  • Actively participate in sharpening CMSD design methodology and way-of-working to ensure crisp and efficient execution.
Qualifications:
  • MSEE or PhD in EE + 15 years semiconductor design leadership experience.
  • Proven track record in designing high-accuracy products with resolution better than 1uV.
  • Proven track record in designing high-performance AFE products with ENOB of 16-bit or above.
  • Proven track record in designing high-resolution SAR (16-bit or above) and Delta-Sigma (24-bit or above) A/D converters.
  • Proven track record in designing high-resolution Nyquist D/A converters (18-bit or above).
  • Proven track record in designing ultra-low-offset chopper stabilized amplifiers.
  • Highly knowledgeable in ESD, Latch-up, and IC reliability issues.
  • Highly knowledgeable in state-of-the-art design methodologies and tools.
  • Highly knowledgeable in state-of-the-art mixed-signal and BCD process technologies.
  • System and application knowledge in CMSD target markets a plus.
Additional Information:
