Electrical Engineer II RF Avionics Specialist

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As an Electrical Engineer II RF Avionics, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing high-performance avionics systems for our spacecraft.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop RF communication subsystems and components with a strong background in RF and antennas principles.
- Perform detailed hardware design and analysis for radio systems, including software-defined radios, RF front-ends, and antennas.
- Collaborate with test engineers to design and implement performance and environmental testing for acceptance and qualification of radio hardware.
- Work with multi-functional teams to partner for the best design implementation solutions.
- Develop, implement, and own test procedures, as well as planning and execution for all phases (development, acceptance, and qualification).
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- 3+ years of proven experience in the RF design of complex aerospace/space hardware.
- Desire to work hands-on, both independently and as part of a team, throughout the design, analysis, verification, qualification, and production phases of the electronic product lifecycle.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to our culture of inclusion.
- Hands-on experience with RF testing equipment (Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, signal generators, etc).
- Basic knowledge of PCB design, layout, and testing.
- Master of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, or related subject areas.
- 5+ years proven experience in RF design, analysis, development, integration, test, and operation of avionics systems or vehicles.
As a member of the Blue Origin team, you'll enjoy a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $109,980.00-$153,972.00, depending on location. You'll also have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
