- This is a full-time position primarily serving Hospice of Miami County, with flexibility to assist at Hospice of Dayton as necessary.
- Working hours are from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a requirement to work every third weekend and alternate holidays.
- Our mission is to provide exceptional care and service to patients during their final journey. A genuine compassion for hospice care is essential for success in this role.
The RN will be responsible for planning and delivering patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and evaluation. The RN will effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members while upholding professional nursing standards. Our commitment is to provide outstanding care and services to patients at the end of life, and we seek individuals who share this dedication.
Qualifications for RN:
Applicants must be graduates of an accredited nursing program, with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. A valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio is required, free from any board actions. A minimum of two years of acute care nursing experience is preferred.
- Current CPR certification
- Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) is preferred and must be obtained within two years of employment (eligibility requires completion of 500 hours in hospice/palliative experience within the last 12 months).
- Proficient computer skills for accurate documentation of services and care.
- Ability to drive in various weather conditions.
- Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.
