About the Opportunity

This is a leadership role that involves overseeing the development of product line pricing assumptions and price structure while ensuring price level objectives are met. The ideal candidate will have experience with actuarial analysis regarding claims or loss trends, presenting claims stories to internal business partners, and working with or leading a team of analysts in injury claim trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies to achieve target pricing levels.
  • Lead a team of analysts in injury claim trends and provide guidance on actuarial analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to present claims stories and drive business decisions.
  • Manage and is accountable for the work of assigned employees, including employee selection, team building, project/workload assignment, employee training, monitoring of work activity, and performance evaluation.
  • Ensure that product prices and designs are congruent with the company's product strategy and goals.
  • Represent USAA's interest at industry level committee meetings.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required for a total of 12 years) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 8 or more years relevant experience.
  • 3 or more years of direct team lead or management experience required.
  • Five (5) exams of the Casualty Actuarial Society.

USAA offers a competitive salary range of $138,000 to $264,200, depending on experience and location.
