Job Summary

The Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement medication use policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Conduct medication use reviews and provide recommendations to healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement medication therapy management programs.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare providers and staff on medication use and safety.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve medication use and patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure to practice pharmacy in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
  • At least one year of professional pharmacy experience, including experience in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of medication use policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations related to medication use.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare teams and patients.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities. The selected candidate will be required to obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including any licensure requirements.
