Job Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, and test low voltage and fiber optic cables, including single mode and multi-mode fiber optic cables, coax, Cat5/6, standard and solid conductor low voltage cable.
  • Dress and route cable into telecommunications closets, through attics, conduit, and between floors into apartments, and other work areas per job specifications.
  • Identify and remove redundant cabling.
  • Install Panduit, conduit, and/or innerduct.
  • Fire-stop various types of cable penetrations.
  • Ensure all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations.
  • Read and comprehend technical schematics, operation manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedures.
  • Identify color codes for 568A, 568B, 6 strand fiber, 12 strand fiber, 25 pair, and 50 pair.
  • Complete projects within budget, on time, and in a safe manner.
  • Maintain the company's high standards of quality and professionalism with regards to workmanship, customer relations, and team members.
  • Submit all paperwork on time.
  • Adhere to all required project-specific as well as company safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as needs arise.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of structured cabling or structural engineering experience in multi-residential environments.
  • Construction background/experience is highly preferred.
  • Available to work full-time Monday through Friday with a willingness to work weekends if project(s) require.
  • Available to work variable hours and travel in our regional service areas.
  • Experience with testing, troubleshooting, and documenting test results for cabling.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish speaking) is preferred.
