The chemical production operator plays a crucial role in executing and comprehending instructions related to:

  • Staging and charging raw materials into reactors, conducting in-process testing, and completing all necessary documentation (25%)
  • Loading finished products into various containers including tank trucks, drums, and totes (25%)
  • Accurately weighing and documenting material charges and timings in both physical documents and databases (25%)
  • Assisting plant EHS, Maintenance, and Utility teams as directed by management, which may involve:
    • Operating forklifts to move pallets (empty, raw materials, or products)
    • Handling drums, hoses, and manual valve operations
  • Utilizing the Distributive Control System (DCS) to manage batch processes and enhance production efficiency (10%)
  • Actively participating in the housekeeping efforts within the facility (5%)
Required Knowledge and Skills:

The following specialized knowledge and skills are essential for this role:

  • Comprehension of process equipment functionality and collaboration with maintenance for equipment upkeep
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Mathematical proficiency, including weights, measures, and conversions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications (DCS, SAP, Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Physical capability to lift 55lb bags, work outdoors, and perform various physical tasks while adhering to Personal Protective Equipment guidelines
  • Forklift operation skills
Educational Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
