Roles & Responsibilities- Recruit, hire, train, and develop employees, providing guidance to next-level supervision as needed.
- Direct the Quality Control process and oversee the implementation of systems to prevent quality problems and ensure ongoing quality appraisal.
- Develop and communicate standard repair procedures, quality, and cost standards within the detail, paint, and body departments, and monitor performance.
- Develop and oversee the weekly and daily scheduling of work and assignment of work to technicians in the most productive manner.
- Communicate due date goals to technicians daily and coordinate information flow between the office and production floor.
- Break down repair orders by department and task, assigning work to the appropriate technician.
- Coordinate all supplements with the front office to ensure the repair order is properly updated.
- Coordinate the acquisition, storage, and use of sheet metal and hard parts.
- Administer preventative maintenance programs for all equipment and tools, making recommendations to management regarding replacement or upgrade.
- Keep up-to-date with new techniques and materials, facilitating training for all appropriate personnel.
- Track and monitor key metrics to monitor quality, productivity, and costs.
- Hold regular meetings with employees to hear their input regarding issues of concern, including quality, productivity, and costs.

- Five years' experience as a technician in an automotive service department, including two years in a leadership role.
- Knowledgeable in all facets of the production operation.
- Will successfully complete appropriate management training courses.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
