Quorum Hotels is seeking a dedicated Bartender to enhance our team.

The Bartender plays a crucial role in crafting drink orders for patrons, adhering to established recipes and utilizing precise measuring techniques. This position demands the highest level of service to guests and staff, while ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are upheld throughout the operational hours. Additionally, the bartender will manage liquor inventory effectively.

Compensation: $18.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with guests and colleagues in a welcoming, service-focused manner.
  • Maintain consistent attendance in line with hotel standards, with schedules adapting to business needs.
  • Exhibit high standards of personal grooming and appearance as per brand guidelines.
  • Adhere to hotel regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
  • Fulfill certification requirements relevant to the role, including Alcohol Awareness and Food Handling.
  • Complete opening and closing tasks as per hotel protocols to ensure timely service.
  • Prepare drinks and cocktails in accordance with company standards for mixing, portion control, and presentation.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Be proficient in operating the Point of Sale (P.O.S.) system.
  • Assist in managing beverage costs effectively.
  • Verify guest identification prior to serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Promptly greet and acknowledge guests.
  • Provide menus to each guest.
  • Ensure timely service, ideally within three minutes of order placement.
  • Maintain cleanliness at the bar, ensuring all areas are tidy and organized.
  • Follow proper check-in procedures, ringing in transactions immediately after orders are placed.
  • Offer drink refills proactively.
  • Handle cashiering duties, providing receipts to guests as required.
  • Comply with all state liquor laws, refraining from serving intoxicated guests.
  • Maintain consistent pour sizes.
  • Express gratitude to guests upon payment, ensuring eye contact.
  • Avoid eating or drinking in view of guests.
  • Be knowledgeable and helpful in addressing guest inquiries.
  • Encourage the purchase of beer, liquor, and wine when appropriate.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor at all times.
  • Understand the functions of various hotel departments.
  • Attend meetings as directed by management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, along with experience in a hotel or related field, is preferred.
