Maintenance Technician Job Description

Barkan Management Company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical plant is well-maintained and in good working order.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks, including painting, electrical, plumbing, flooring, and carpentry work.
  • Assist the Facilities Manager with maintenance tasks, such as inspecting grounds, buildings, and community features.
  • Complete special projects and tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager or Property Manager.
  • Perform emergency on-call service for after-hours maintenance-related issues.
  • Foster a positive and respectful attitude toward residents, vendors, and staff.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in community building maintenance or a related trade.
  • Ability to move up to 50 pounds variable distances and work outdoors in temperatures above 90 degrees or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Basic computer and Internet abilities.
