Compensation: $20 - $24/hour. Employee benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), a 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave, subject to work location.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products utilizing various laboratory methodologies, including High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), density measurements, and viscometry.
  • Ensure timely and precise documentation of all analytical results in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and report any Out-of-Spec materials to the QC Lab Supervisor for review.
  • Assist in managing the inventory of laboratory supplies such as HPLC columns, spare parts, reference standards, and control samples.
  • Perform routine troubleshooting and maintenance of laboratory instruments while identifying and implementing improvements in laboratory processes.
  • Manage and maintain Hazardous and Nonhazardous Waste generated from laboratory testing and equipment in compliance with site guidelines, adhering strictly to established quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • This position is contingent upon a three-month evaluation period.

Essential Qualifications and Technical Skills:

  • A Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline; OR a High School Diploma accompanied by a minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience or 1 year of chromatography experience.
  • Demonstrated strong mathematical abilities and proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • In-depth knowledge of analytical techniques, along with a solid understanding of proper chemical handling, usage, storage, and disposal practices.
