Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and supervise cooking and food preparation activities on a daily basis
  • Plan menus with new and existing culinary creations to ensure variety and quality of servings
  • Determine food and supply needs based on rotating menus
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure they meet high standards
  • Establish production and staff schedules to ensure timely delivery of food services
  • Inspect food products and supplies as needed to maintain quality and safety
  • Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas
  • Check food before serving to customers for quality, consistency, and visual appeal
  • Control and minimize waste to optimize resources
  • Comply with food safety regulations and procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in hotel/restaurant management or culinary arts, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of culinary experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant or catering venue
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and coordinate activities in pressing situations
