Position Overview
The Operations Maintenance Manager oversees the operations and staff for locations managing around 400 truck units.

Direct reports include Operations Supervisors, Technicians-In-Charge, Customer Service Coordinators, Technicians, Service Employees, and Parts Responsible Persons.

Your role will involve achieving results through hands-on engagement and limited delegation, ensuring that business goals and labor needs are fulfilled.

In this position, you will ensure customer satisfaction while balancing financial, operational, quality, safety, and asset management targets.

Accountability for the performance of the location(s) against established metrics to meet or exceed set objectives is essential.

You will also ensure compliance with key company processes and Standard Operating Procedures.

This role may serve as a developmental opportunity to prepare individuals for the Senior Operations Manager position, allowing you to shape your career path and advance based on performance.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Oversight:
Manage work analysis, vehicle planning, scheduling, task assignment to technicians, and productivity optimization.

Team Leadership:
Provide guidance, training, and development to the management team assigned to the branch(es).

Customer Relations:
Oversee customer relationship management, including issue resolution, satisfaction, and retention.

Financial Strategy:
Engage in strategic financial planning, developing budget forecasts and implementing cost control measures.

Asset Oversight:
Guide the management team in maintaining the appearance and upkeep of assigned locations.

Quality Assurance:
Participate in strategic quality planning, developing corrective actions and countermeasures for operational quality challenges.

Additional Duties:
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
Proven accountability and a history of achieving desired outcomes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to utilize reporting systems for data analysis and decision-making.
Commitment to a safe work environment, quality execution, and customer service.
Capability to build strong customer relationships.
Experience in leading, training, and developing a self-directed workforce.
Education and Experience
High School diploma/GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
A minimum of four years in an operations environment or demonstrated success in a Ryder role is required.
At least three years of supervisory experience is necessary.
