Position: Certified Respiratory Care Specialist

Job Overview
The Certified Respiratory Care Specialist is responsible for delivering comprehensive respiratory therapy services to patients across various age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. This role encompasses both routine and critical care, ensuring optimal respiratory function and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide acute and emergency respiratory care, including airway management and ventilator support.
- Conduct essential cardiopulmonary diagnostics and blood gas analysis.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Perform specialized sleep studies and evaluations to assess patients' respiratory function during sleep.

Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care program.
- Successful completion of the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) examination.
- State licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with blood gas endorsement.
- Current CPR certification and preferred advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS, NALS).
- For Sleep Medicine: Active CRT certification and commitment to obtaining Sleep Disorder Specialty endorsement within the first year of employment.

Work Environment
This position requires a commitment to patient-centered care and adherence to all regulatory standards under the guidance of a Medical Director. The Certified Respiratory Care Specialist plays a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiopulmonary conditions, ensuring thorough documentation and compliance with established protocols.
