About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team at Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer sites to perform routine maintenance and repairs on our heavy trucks.
  • Utilize Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems' diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks, including tire rotation, lubrication, and electrical system repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and submit reports in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with our service manager to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in heavy truck maintenance and repair
  • Proven skills in hydraulic pump, cylinder, valve, and hose repair
  • MIG and stick welding experience
  • Automotive electrical experience
  • Diesel engine repair experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical, including drug screening
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require frequent kneeling, bending, and lifting
