Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team at Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems. As a Mobile Heavy Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for traveling to customer sites to perform maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including service cranes, roll-offs, street sweepers, and dump trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer sites to perform maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment
  • Use diagnostic equipment to research and complete repairs
  • Complete preventative maintenance repairs, including replacing or rotating tires and completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement
  • Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed
  • Partner with the service manager to learn new skills and receive hands-on coaching

Requirements
  • 3 years' experience with hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses
  • 3 years' MIG and stick welding experience
  • 3 years' automotive electrical experience
  • 3 years' diesel engine repair preferred
  • Must have own tools
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must pass a DOT physical including drug screening
  • Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach
  • Must be able to lift and move more than 50 lbs without assistance
  • Must be able to get into and out of various vehicles without assistance
  • Possess a working mechanical knowledge, including the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
