Job Overview

Lightmatter is a leading innovator in networking for AI, driving human progress through cutting-edge technology. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial and payroll systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the People team to process bi-weekly payrolls for 200+ US and Canadian employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Audit data entry, including new hire compensation, rate changes, and tax filing updates, to maintain compliance and accuracy.
  • Create and post payroll-related journal entries to our ERP system, including compensation, expense, and accruals.
  • Respond to payroll queries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage state and federal tax filing portals, including registrations and updates.
  • Perform monthly accounting tasks, such as bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
  • Assist with Month End Close and other finance and accounting projects.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 5+ years of cumulative experience in payroll processing and general ledger accounting.
  • System experience with NetSuite is required.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Google Suite.
  • Self-motivated, works autonomously, and contributes to a collaborative team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.

We offer competitive compensation, with a base salary range of $95,000 - $145,000, depending on location, experience, and market data.
