Job Summary
The Admission Nurse at Delray Medical Center plays a critical role in ensuring seamless transitions for patients requiring inpatient, partial hospitalization, or outpatient services. As a liaison between hospitals, physicians, and insurance companies, this professional registered nurse is responsible for evaluating patient referrals, obtaining physician approval, and performing inquiries, screenings, admissions, pre-certifications, and referrals.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluating patient referrals for inpatient, partial hospitalization, or outpatient services
- Obtaining physician approval for admissions and pre-certification
- Performing inquiries, screenings, admissions, pre-certifications, and referrals
- Displaying expertise in crisis intervention skills and guest relations
Requirements
