Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at SOVAH Danville. As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those with respiratory failure, shock, and multi-organ failure. You will work closely with our intensivist and resident physicians to provide evidence-based care and make decisions that impact patient outcomes.

About Our ICU:

Our ICU is a 19-bed unit with a 1:2 nurse to patient ratio. We care for a variety of patients, including those with post-cardiac arrest, post-PCI, respiratory failure, shock, intra-aortic balloon pump, sepsis, multi-organ failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, and cerebrovascular accident post-thrombolytic administration. We are a closed ICU and have a dedicated intensivist as well as resident physicians that we work closely with to provide care to patients that is the most current evidence-based practice.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A current VA (or Multi-state) RN license
  • A nursing degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support
  • Experience in clinical area preferred
  • American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire
